Increase Utorrent Speed by 20% to 30% ||Ethical Hacking
Hi,
Want to increase utorrent speed. Many day before I got a mail from a person he was asking to increase the Utorrent speed, I also realized sometime after downloading a movie of about 750 Mb and After seeing utorrent , able to figure out that about 250 mb is uploaded while movie was downloaded.
With download speed, upload speed is also shown. I tried to change some setting of Utorrent and was able to increase the speed by 20% to 30% so today I am going to share about it.
Sit tight and perform some steps, you will find out you torrent speed a 20% to 30% boost up.
First Step
Disable your window firewall.
Second Step
Follow these screen shot tutorial.
1. Click Option above and then click Preferences
2. Select Connection and See default port is 32459 , If by mistake you have changed then set it to 32459.
3. Click Bandwidth :
Set Maximum Upload rate to : 1
Maximum Download rate to : 0
0 here mean maximum
Global no of connection = 130
Maximum no of connection peer per torrent : 70
Number of upload slots per torrent : 3
Check (Use additonal upload slots if upload speed < 90%)
4. Select Bittorrent :- Protocol Encryption ( Enable it)
5. Select Queuing
Max no of active torrent : 1
Maximum no of active download : 1
Maximum ratio : 150 %
6. Scroll down and set net.max_halfopen : 100
When ever your download a file right click it and set band width allocation to high
Most Important Setting : After above setting right down as marked on “U” to and set bandwidth upload to 25 kb/s if it is present as unlimited
Right Click again “U” it again to set it to 10 kb/s
Right Click again “U” to set to 5 Kb/s then right click again Until you are not able to select it to 1 kb/s
After Performing above settings , now exit torrent and run it again. You will find it downloading speed goes increased.

Port No is a way to identify a specific process. In case of Utorrent (Process is utorrent). Do change your port back to default 32459, Red mark will be removed and it will work correctly
Aniket, I guessed inspite of clicking uploading speed down you clicked download speed and have set it to 1 Kb/s. Click down again change “D” to unlimited and “U” to 1 Kb/s as step above.

my bit torrent is showing that my port is close…
but i get speed of 70 kb/ps in morning. What is dis all about ? and how do i get rid of this peoblem ?
Divyansh : Change your port to default :- 32459
Option –> Preference –>Connection –> Change port to 32459

hello sir,
as i was downloading crysis 2 with speed of avg 184kb/s after reading this article i followed instruction n i did settings as it was in the guide with no mistakes but unfortunately as of now my downloading speed is not exceeding 30kb/s .plz help1 i m thinking of uninstalling torreent client and reinstalling it (if i don’t get any sort of help)

Dear, As i said earlier you have to follow the same instructions as given in article above. But as per us, you might missed some setting or something has went wrong. Re-change them as default or install it again.

I understand every thing but cannot understand the function of port?
when i change my port to 22795 a red type of mark appears on bottom right corner of my utorrent and when i scroll the mouse cursor to it a balloon text”you should change the listen port” appears. Kindly guide me about this
